Soil pipe cutters work great on sloid pipe but would not use the tool on any pipe that is old and thin because they tend to crush the pipe

I bought the same compact cutters for over $400 3 years ago.

You can buy tools in the rental dept? do they advertise this or did you have to ask?
          Buy cheap, buy twice.

I had the same cutters. They are awesome, and I never crushed any old pipe with them. Sadly after my roll over wreck with my work truck, they where one of many tools that got stolen from me. I will have to see if the HD by me has them on sale.

You have to ask. They have a sheet of which ones are for sale.

I paid 4 bills at the the supply house for mine. They are invaluable.
