    My masters test. It is offical I am now a Master Plumber!!!!!!

    What a weight has been lifted off my chest, now it is time to start thinking about opening my own company.

        Not sure about the insurance start up costs, yet. I wanted to have my Masters License before I did anything. Just did not want to jump the gun.

              DT's right. An alternative is to get ahold of a few books on small business. Ellen Rohr has written a couple that deal specifically with plumbing.

                      Congrats! now the fun starts it took me 3 more months to get my contractors license after I passed the test with all the B.S they make you do. Good luck

                          Congrats!!!! That is a great feeling!!!!!

                          Your local SBDC (small business dev. center) or S.C.O.R.E. (Senior corps of retired executives) or SBA (small business admin) all offer small mini courses or free counseling on starting a small business and help you layout the blueprint for getting your business started. Marketing etc... were a real eye opener for me.

                          In most cases a lot of the info is free. and you really can learn a lot.

                            Thanks all, for the support. Business classes are now in the planning stages, as well as finding an accountant, a lawyer for the contracts, and an insurance person.
