Dezincification of the brass fittings in certain water chemistries is a well known issue.

Google "dezincification" and I'm sure you will find what you are looking for

              I thought they had both?

Brass under their Vanguard brand possibly?

When I google Viega I get hits for both brass and bronze...

I just use the Pure Flow system, The vanguard stuff looks just like the zurn stuff ie same amount of ridges. Copper crimp system. Pureflow uses the bronze fittings and stainless crimp system.

All pex fittings are restrictive and have ledges that restrict flow. Therefore all pex fittings are not code compliant. But since your plumbing boards and code review boards are staffed by whores, they look the other way.

Very True! But I don't use very many fittings just long runs of pex.

Does the code book say it's ok for oh say anything less than 6 fittings on a run? I don't think so..

On Page 432 it says: Lol nope your right there is no restriction mentioned as ok.

And honestly, I'm not trying to bust anyone's balls. It's just another one of many little quirks in the code that because of economic reasons, hardly ever gets enforced.
