    immediate cold water.
try to think of something else for a few hours.
    Pain killer

protect lower layers from bacteria.Neosporin and frequently changed bandages.

      Re: Burns

just be careful dumping cold water on a fresh burn. If it's bad enough cold water will open the skin right up, lukewarm water or a damp warm rag are probably better if you can get them.

No. Pretty light this time. No reasons to complain. Just want to be thinking about next time too.

        Thanks.

Some of the best first aid for wounds I have used is Silvadene. It is a prescription but should be easy to convince the doc to write it up. I'll almost use on my toast to start my day off right.

It is for burns usually but I have used it on every open wound including a dog ear infection. Lavender Oil too nothing like it for burns, beats the old aloe plant hands down.

I bought some Burn Gel from a company called Safetec.

It numbs the pain almost immediately. If you want a few packets P.M. me and I will send you some.

Bacitration is way better than neosporin. Neosporin is mixed with bacitration and filler ingrediants.
                Buy cheap, buy twice.

A customer of mine gave me a whole jar of that...it's a straight antibiotic and came from the shriner's burn institute. The wife works there and her son jumped a firepile at a party and suffered 2nd degree burns.

I believe his advice was to seek professional medical attention and the above recommendation was your diy doctoring.

This is the same company we use to stock our first aid kits in trucks and job sites.

We are pretty heavy users of band aids, gauze and burn creams. The gel is better than the spray.
