  • Tankless I Installed over the Weekend

I mentioned the back of my truck is a bit messy from this weekend job in a different post. So I figured I share a picture of the final result. Sorry I was not smart enough to take a before picture.

Great looking job I do not do enough soldering anymore

Can someone explain to me what is the need for an expansion tank in this application?

      Nice Job.

I'm sure you're local code requires it but I do wonder about the VB and necessity of the TXT.

Now if we can just get the electrician to straighten that receptacle.

Some say that the residual heat after use has x amount of expansion.

A little nuts in my opinion.

The heater is installed on the first floor, in a kitchen in a grocery store. There is RPZ's on the main water service which makes it a closed system. The Illinois plumbing code states an expansion tank is necessary on a closed system. The Vacuum relief valve is required if the water heater is higher than any fixture. Also we toss the pressure relief valve and have to install a T&P valve.

Good eye, on the water pipe yes it is. On the gas pipe it is Tru Blue thread sealant.
