  • Antique Hand Tools

I received this basin wrench from my dad. It feels like it ways a couple of pounds. Not one you would want to come crashing down because you lost your grip.

I wish you wouldn't call that stuff antique--it is typical of my whole tool box!!!

Don't ever take a buffing wheel to that wrench. Quickest way to kill the value of an antique is to make it look brand new,

          "Trimo Trade Mark"
          "PAT APD FOR"
          "BASIN WRENCH"

Ok, I wasn't prepared for all the neat old tools online when I googled this one a few minutes ago.
No dates on the wrench but online says they extend from the 1880's through at least 1918. Trimont Manufacturing was located in Roxbury Mass.and made pipe wrenches too. I'll ask my dad today (he's 85) where he got it.
I'll bet some of our N.E. members know more. Mr Pipestone probably has a tool box full
          Nope, haven't tried it out.
When you open it up the jaws extend up and out. I'll post another pic.
If the new wrench you want to trade for looks like a seesnake microdrain, works like a seesnake microdrain and is a seesnake microdrain then yes, I will trade.

I'll help run the pipes to that old basin.
