    Very useful info about the combination unit.
    It looks like they just tied the heat exchanger exhausts together inside the box, as you said. I wonder why they don't make a unit {or maybe they do}, that would allow that to be done, {the way I always try to think}, outside the box, for two side by side? Making only 1 vent penetration would save alot of time.
    Also, if these DV units are side by side, don't the vent terminations have to be a certain distance apart?
    Just thinking if I have 2 units, & I mount them on a wall about 3ft apart, I would have to offset vents, if they require the vent terminations to be more than 3ft apart.

      That Takagi TM-50 is about $4500.00.

        Its two heaters in one. I mean price out the Noritz NC380 (N-1321M) its not much cheaper and its only half the heater of the TM-50 is. Also the time you save only have to run one vent pipe instead of two and only plumbing for one heater verses two.
