  • Master Puck Lock

I'm locked out of my own van and I got many calls tomorrow. My back doors have a puck lock and when I tried to open it turned passed the quarter pos and went half way around. I been trying to turn back for 2 hours. Lock smith coming tomorrow after noon. But can't wait. Anyone ever have this happen Thanks.

I used a sawzall to cut the metal the puck lock is attached to.

Looks a lot like a 36" pipe wrench to me.

I would think a grinder and a cut off wheel would work,

on this site they are using a gas cut off saw http://www.doylestownfireco.org/even...YLadderOps.htm about the middle of the page.

here is a better page, http://ironsandladders.com/2009/11/1...ey-puck-locks/

So is the pipe wrench and the grinder and sawzall in the van?

I shouldn't laugh. I've looked at the keys in the ignition through a locked door window like I could Criss Angel them into my hands.

Spare key in the wallet is the best bet.

Won't work, master locks have a sleeve around them so there's nothing to grip.

Thanks but I did not lose or break the key. The lock just kept turing about half way instead of a quarter turn and pull. It must have just went bad.
