  • Doing work for other trades

I just took a job installing a new HVAC system in a fellow plumbers personal home (I took it as a great compliment that he asked me to do it).

Since we are both plumbers we could not swap labor on this one but in my neck of the woods we all tend to swap labor with each other.

How do you guys handle work with / for other trades?

Was over at a buddy plumbers house yesterday.
He's in his twilight as far as install goes.
He figures he's got $30,000 out there in trade added up over 35 years.

But who keeps count anyway when your making friends.

    Oh Yeah,I forgot

I expect to pay full price from them and I expect to bill them full price for my work. Everyone knows the price going in and no one is unhappy at the end of the day.
