  • shower valve id

Trying to id this shower valve, any help would be appreciated.

Owners would like it repaired, not replaced.

Dont want to touch it unless I have access to parts. It has very tight access behind it, maybe 8" deep.

    House was built around 1926.

Any chance you can pull the trim and get a pic of the valvebody

Without seeing the body with no trim, my first guess is a Kohler Niedecken. It would be the old style.

Tell the customer it is the extremely rare "Chuwatta Replacedat."

And if they don't buy that, tell them that all their neighbors on Country Club Drive have already switched their shower valves to something manufactured AFTER the Coolidge Administration.

I may need to stop by and pull the trim, this pic was sent to me by the homeowner.

Sad part is the reason I first worked in this house was to set some new trim for a contractor remodeling this bathroom. They replaced floor tile, added wainscoating, and repainted, new wood trim, Kohler ped lav and WC......and left the tub as it was....nice peach color.

That is when I nosed around to see what was available for access in the valve area....and sure enough problems arising.
