  • Rental/Cheap Toilet

I have some senior friends on a fixed income renting in one of the senior communities.
    They need a toilet.
I was thinking Mansfield untill this morning till I saw new thread this morning stating the lack of quality.

Do you guys have any suggestions for the $120.00 range.I know one cannot have it all.I'm just hoping for my friends.
Me,I suggest the American Standard Champion then Toto Drake.
I called my friend Rick, unfortunately he does not do cheap toilets.

Where I live, it seems like all I do is cheap toilets.

Get them a Mansfield toilet, but spend a couple extra dollars for a tank to bowl kit with brass bolts, and a Fluidmaster fill valve. That will still put you in the price range you want to be in.

I install probably 10 Mansfield for everyone 1 Kohler Cimarron or Toto Drake toilet. The quality of the Mansfield isn't that bad.

I know Robert I remember our conversation a few weeks ago.
Problem is I was not quoted that price. And I'm kind of leary putting Kohler in my friends houses.Their cusromer service and parts have a bad reputation as well as parts are expensive.

Thank you for helping me out the other day.

              Not the inlaws,my buddy's parents.
He is an onry old trucking compay owner. She is a tell it like it is New Yorker.

              Melissa's parents?
I'd probably push them up into a better$quality range.

I appear to have been mistaken on this.
The wellworth looks like you can use a fluidmaster 400 if needed.
I thought they might need a special $100.00 dollar Kohler fill valve.

Its not like Rick is your only friend you know. I too would recommend the Kohler Wellworth.

Kohler Wellworth fill valve uses standerd fluid master 400A fill valve just with there name on it and a reg. flapper. The outlet is 2 1/8" at the base the same the mansfeild toilets. I have installed both and they both work good . I would personaly not spend over $120 for a toilt even in my house to just s%$t and piss in . Thats just me

You can rent toilets? What are the terms? If you miss a payment does a repo man run in with a socket wrench out of nowhere?

                              Good toilet cheap?

Download the excel spreadsheet from the link below and get objectively and impirically quantified test results on the flushing efficiency of seven hundred or so toilets.

Check out American Standard Cadet 3, Gerber Viper.

I think the Gerber Viper is the lowest cost toilet that successfully flushed at 1000 grams.
