  • another "plumbing 101" question...

yet another "easy" question for the pros. thanks to everyone for all of your advice. wish i could share more on the plumbing side but i know just about enough to be dangerous i guess anyway....what is the difference between the "red" copper pipe and the "blue" copper pipe?

    thanks again

The difference is the thickness of the wall of the pipe. Red is thinner....blue is thicker and most commonly used on water lines, although the red is acceptable by the National Standard Plumbing Code for water lines. The other difference you will notice is THE PRICE!
