  • Pump Calculation?

I have a Grundfos pump with a pump calculation associated with it stating:

Rated flow rate in (m to the power of 3 or cubed/H)(x 5 gpm)

Wondering if anyone could help explain what it references. Thanks.

1 cubic meter is 264 gallons.

      so 1 cubic meter/hour= 264/60 or 4.4 gpm.

maybe they rounded 4.4 up to 5?

Thanks. If you get a chance, please look at the example of the rating plate in the link. The number they provide can be ever changing dependent on the pump.

        Just trying to learn.

        Thanks again.

EDIT: JUST REALIZED THE LINK I PROVIDED MAY NOT WORK. I'LL TRY TO FIND A WAY TO POST IT AGAIN LATER.

sorry jc; link pointless for me; too small to read, and not sure what you are asking anyway.

what do you need to know?
