  • Ander-lign comp. fittings

Been looking at these ander-lign compression fittings, made by Watts. Never used 'em before, I've been thinking about using them in lieu of a soldered union when I do installs, res boilers etc. From what I understand they are re-usable wheras regular comp fittings are not. I've also been told that they fail on Cu pipe due to the stint inside not allowing the fitting to get tight enough.
    Anybody use em?

I don't have good luck with those things. I would use a shark bite/ john guest before that. It might just be me but they leak 50% of the time.

the ferrule tends to break free of the compression nut when removing them.

The compression inserts for the inside of the tubing are about the only good thing about them.... but you can get those separately.
