  • Had a Propress blow apart

First one I've ever had! I forgot to press it, oops.... BAM that sucker blew apart when I turned on the water big time. Lucky it was only a few feet away in the basement when I was turning the water back on, impressive!
Either they're pressed or they're not, no in between!

We had a pair of commercial water heaters we changed out one night. I missed an 1.5 copper sweat. When we turned the water on the joint held for maybe 5 min. then it blew with a vengence. Soaked everything in the mechanical room. There is something to be said for taking an extra minute or 2 to recheck all work.

I found an 1 1/2 copper 90 unsweated for about 4 years that barley leaked in a mech room I fixed. Never used propress but I am sure it is great.
