  • Armaflex for HW heating?

Anybody ever use ArmaFlex or a similaer HVACR type black foam insulation on a hot water heating system?
I usually use fiberglass, just curious about other options.

It's all we use around here. That or closed cell foam, whichever the supply house is stocking at the time

Good to hear. It seems a lot easier to work with than fiberglass, just gotta see how the price stacks up.

I've always used armaflex for residential and fiberglass for commerical work. It's quicker to install and you don't get itchy fibers all over yourself however it doesn't have the R-value of fiberglass.
