nothing wrong with new construction. i did it for 15 years in a union shop.

new construction will make you a better service plumber. and being a service plumber will make you a better new construction plumber. it's a win, win, situation.

now you'll ruff in cleanouts that are accessible

One way to look at it is..New Construction is "clean" work. I've done it for many years in the late 80' early 90's, and it was nice to stay on 1 job the entire day.

But being a "service" Plumber, made me a better Plumber than what new construction could offer. I started to get a big head when I was in new construction, cause Plumbing was just "easy" when you're installing it new. Service Plumbing is a whole different animal, and it will separate the men from the boys.

      Either way..good luck.

Glad to hear your old shop is hired you back.

My buddy that is in the 501 is on the bench again. The shop he was at left the union. So he just took on a temp job at Fed Ex as a driver for the Christmas rush.

          Good to hear,

I actually LOVED doing New construction over service,

I liked working with clean materials like the above mentioned,

But hey, either way - Glad your back!
