I don't know how you repair guys keep it all in your head. I have my hands full just trying to keep up with new, often foreign, faucets and valves. The other day I had to call a manufacturer's tech support just to learn how to remove a shower valve plate. Because it was worth a bundle, I didn't want to damage it. Tech said I needed a tool that came with the valve trim to remove it. My plumber said he gave it to the GC. GC couldn't remember. Finally found it and explained to the HO the consequences of losing it in the future (after the warranty runs out).
