Yeah, Ridgid is plumbing more than Milwaukee. Should have a power expander in their line but I don't know what kind of contracting snafu will be created with TTI.

They have crimp-pex covered. Still think they should add a "stick" type press to their line like the small Rothenberger.

Of course, now Rothenberger has licensed a gun type.

I have the Rothenberger propress just like that one. Been using it for a few years and love it. Gets into way tighter spots vs, the others.

If I was still using Uponor I would buy the Milwaukee tool in a heartbeat. I had the old larger Uponor tool and hated it, sold it on ebay and stuck with the Viega Pureflow because of the speed. I do have the Milwaukee copper cutters and wouldn't trade it for anything, same battery as the crimper too.

Only one I would get or recommend (Rothenberger Compact) for people doing smaller jobs & repairs with 1" and below.

It would look good in Ridgid Orange too. I can see it.

Thought I should correct myself before anyone made a ProPress purchase wanting to possibly do double duty with Crimp Ring PEX.

It appears that Ridgid has discontinued the jaws for ASTM 1807 Crimp PEX.

                    http://www.ridgid.com/Tools/Disconti...s/EN/index.htm

They do make jaws for the Viega Pureflow system.

Crimp PEX dominates my area without many issues that I'm aware. Spoke to Viega also & the person on the phone stated they had no intention of eliminating copper crimp ring PEX. (Wondering )

So in short, if you want to do double duty with Crimp Ring PEX, you might want to check other manufacturers.
