  • First Time For This

Got called to go unclog a sewer.... was third plumber to unclog in two weeks. After the cable would not go past a certain point but opened the line. Camerad line to see a hole in line. Located with my Scout locator...busted up floor and dug pipe. Cut out section and discovered drain was a three inch metal electric conduit! Never seen that before! Anybody else ever came across this?

that is ridgid. emt is thin like the exhaust pipe on my sons mustang. he has 3" exhausts. how do you know whether that it is conduit or galvanized? a 3" gal drain is a whole lot more expensive and difficult than ci. my house was built 1964 i think. all of are smaller drains (1 1/2" and 2") are galvanized. 4" is ci. conduit is not cheaper if they bought it. i see pvc conduit used as dwv occasionally. breid..............
