    I was fighting this earlier and thought it looked like post modern hacktown plumbing art...

      Its those boots thats throwin ya off. Thats what it is.

      Which way is the flow coming from? I assume from the right and then flows into the building?

        That crooked a$$ pipe with the new brass shut-off you see sticking out of ground by my leg (I'm sitting on the ground) is the supply riser, the 3/4" pipe going off to the left is for a new generator (this was a generator tie-in job)

        Disclaimer: I only care about a unions direction of flow in High pressure applications as some will say this union is installed backwards...

          What did you use to connect the pipe to the generator?

                      I actually love running black iron. It's like a puzzle to me, and the finished product always looks good in the end.

                      It keeps me intact with the history of workmanship you see decades ago, when it was commonplace.

                          Ok, so maybe you're really an artist, but art doesn't pay the bills. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're in for a lifetime of dirt, mud, water and a bunch of unidentifiable material that came out of someone's drain.
