    The one I pulled out wasn't nearly that bad. But looked like the flapper was misaligned , or offset not allowing the flapper to seal..I poured some water down it and sure enough leak city..Probably leaked since installed.I replaced it with a fernco type proflo ..Supply house didn't have any zoeller check valves..Said they were'nt selling enough of em'

      I personally don't like a spring loaded check valves on sumps for this reason alone....
