There is one. It's up near the foundation with junk around it. "Cleanouts" (plural) are not required in this situation.

Here, one can be used outside the foundation, but also just inside the foundation can also be considered "accessible". And at every 4th 45. If memory serves. Can't seem to locate my book.

Right! Pipes were pretty shallow. There were roots everywhere from the shrubs and Pine Trees though. Sometimes the tank levels & septic design can dictate plumbing depth outside. They like it shallow.

No, it was a week or so ago. And yessir, pretty warm!

Shorts....definitely! Done it many ways (jeans, Khakis, Military Surplus) and shorts work.

              Looks like sandy soil.

How did you even know the tank was leaking?

Periodic inspection found it significantly below the outlet.

                    Ahhh...

Are visual inspections required for septic tanks?

or do you just test the well water for fecal matter?

Periodic inspections are required on some systems in some areas.

                              I wear shorts everyday.

Unless there is gonna be some digging involved. Been over 100 degrees every day here for the last, 2 or three months or something. Just too hot for pants. I'm drenched about 2 hours into the day as it is, if I had to wear pants I would probably die
