  • Professional Liquid Drain Cleaner

I'm a DIY and mildly experience with plumbing. My house was built in the 50's and I am having problem with a tub draining slowly. The horizontal run on the drain pipe is ~13-15' to the vertical pipe (tub is on 2nd floor). I have tried the the products you can find from the home centers for slow draining tubs and the only one that improves the problem is a powdered one that you mix with water and leave in for around 8hr. Some sort of enzyme based product. But I can never get the tub to drain any faster, as though it is unrestricted. I always use more than suggested due to the length of the run but this helps only a little bit more.

I also cannot get a snake into the pipe because the trap is unique and won't let the snake through and the trap is also located to far under the tub for resonable access from the access panel.

Is there any more potent cleaners that someone is aware of that I can use?

Oh Yeah, I'm also on septic.

    Any insights would be appreciated.

    Let me see... 1, 2, 3, 4.... Uh Oh.
