  • Finding PVC ?

    I need to do this tomorrow ...

    I an thing of running a 3/8 cable into a water line then looking for it with a metal detector

    Line ia about 2 feet deep ...Thoughts ? will it work ?

    Line going to be trashed so cable not an issue ...

    use the metal detector before and after to mark rebar with masking tape. We use a utility locator for projects like that. or I can consistently find them with a demo hammer if i'm trying to avoid them.
    No, it's not rocket science, it's plumbing and unlike rocket science it requires a license.

      OK that's Not going to work !

      Now have to find what I need or just Re-Pipe it ...

        I have a 300' fish tape I use in conduit to locate it. I am using it with a NaviTrack and Transmitter.

          what size waterline? I helped locate where an electrical conduit ran with my seesnake going under a road intersection. I think the conduit was 1 1/4.

              rumor has it that if you have real salty water, it will conduct and you might be abe to trace the line.
