  • water line slab floor

I have just purchaded a national home built in the mid fiftys for a rental property, water line coming from pit is 3/4 k copper I have been told that the cement from the slab deteriorates the copper over time. How long should I expect this line to last and if it does need replacing should i put back k copper or use pex if i did use pex i would have to make a connection to k copper outside the house due to local codes allowing for k copper only in water pits. Any advice on these older slab homes plumbing would be appreciated.
