  • Kohler Hatbox Troubleshoot /repair

Looks like an electric valve(looks like a modified Honeywell zone valve) is holding back water-flow to the ballcock. Anyone have experience with this jewel?

Christ, since it's outside, it would of been cheaper to build an old fashion outhouse!

I'm sure the parts for that bad boy is EXPENSIVE!

Flux this house has to be the most expensive house on the island, per sq ft.I have no doubt the bill for this wont be pretty.

I've only seen that toilet in pictures, never in the field. Let us know how you make out.

Last time I saw one of those, Ivan was sitting on it in the space station.

                    Re: Kohler Hatbox Troubleshoot /repair

Sorry I haven't replied sooner. Looks like the "zone valve" is just a safety to prevent overflow. I've temporarily bypassed it to get the toilet operational. My supplier is having trouble with Kohler in obtaining parts for this toilet.
"RUN FOREST RUN." I can't. I did the original install.
Any small job- look up the repair parts on the Kohler website for purist hatbox and the design should be more understandable( that usually works for me)

To give you some perspective on where The toilet is I took some pictures of the outside of the toilet enclosure.

Hard to help diagnose when really don't know what's going on. All I could gather is low flow to some parts of the toilet. Not that I have any idea on the hatbox, since I dont plumb in paradise! But if it's a pro flo I got ya covered!

But, instead of explaining what's wrong, can you post up a reason that thing costs so much?

"But, instead of explaining what's wrong, can you post up a reason that thing costs so much?" Because a designer picked it out.

this reminds me of the toto neorest. i've had 2 customers call about issues with the toilet, they purchased and my advise is to call toto. the supply nouse only carries the bidet seat for them. no internal parts. but for $3000.00 you can buy the complete toilet
