  • Ridgid Power Spin Drain Cleaner

The other day I purchased a Power Spin from my local Home Depot. After cleaning out my sink drain, I decided to try to rinse the cable off. In doing so I made a mistake in removing the (snap washer?). I found that the 25' x 1/4" cable became disconnected. Now I can't figure out how to reattach it. Can anyone help? I went back to Home Depot and the sale clerk and I unscrewed the shaft plate of the display model, but apparently it was not a usable model.

    Hi Charles,

I'm in the same situation you were. Did you figure out how to attach the end of the cable to the black anchor "plate"?

It is my understanding that the cable does not need to be attache to any thing. Apparently it is the pressure from winding the cable around on the inside of the housing that allows it to work. Mine had a hook on the end, this keeps it from coming out. I have not had to use mine since I put it back together.
