  • Bit the bullet

I let the smoke out of my trusty Dewalt 18V cordless recip saw:-( It was also time to replace my Nicad battery packs (every 2 years or so).

By the time I added everything up I was well on my way to upgrading everything so I decided to bite the bullet and switch over to Dewalts 20V L-ion tool system.

    Merry Christmas to me!

I have had the new tools for a week now and am very happy with the battery life and power.

-Batteries charge in about 20 minutes
-Tool balance is improved and they are lighter weight
-Frozen batteries work fine (Cold Nicad dont work for Chit)
    -All tools have LED lights

-System is pretty expensive: Hammer Drill, Impact Driver, Recipsaw, Flashlight, and 4 extra Batteries will run you close to a Grand:-(
-Impact driver light stays on for 20 seconds after you release the trigger, I thought mine was broke...LOL

No disrespect intended towards Ridgid but you are not exactly known for your cordless tools:-)
