  • Grease Holding Tank

Hi: our waste water plant has started to schedule any grease disposal out about three weeks. This is leading to some operational issues. We want to install a holding tank at our shop and pump into that. Does anyone know where i could get one? What tyeop fo material it should be made of? Or any other issues

    Thanks

    Jeff

    Re: Grease Holding Tank

How many gals. do you need to store?

Does the tank need to be traffic bearing?

I would go with concrete, but what you are planning to do is very costly.

A 5,000 gal tank sells for about $8,000.00 in MD and weighs about 40,000 lbs.

That is just for the tank that does not include installation, frames & covers or delivery.

You can look here for a precast concrete company near you.http://portal.precast.org/Portal/pro...ry/Detail.aspx

there are also poly (plastic) tanks available for above or below ground use. Most plumbing suppliers have access to a large selection.
