  • Urinals, how to tell the difference between ...

I was reading the installation requirement for a EcoPower flush Valve for urinal and it stated that "for optimal performance should be installed on a washout urinal. However a siphon jet may also be substituted. Blowout urinals are not recommended."

I know WC (toilets) are in those three categories but never heard of urinals be classified the same way.
How can you tell with urinals?

I would think the manufacturer spec sheets would metion the type of flush it has.

    Welcome to the forum.

But why 6 years before your 1st post?

      No special reason to wait.

It's a wall hung urinal not sure of the type, need to update the flush valve.
This is two post in 6 years doesn't look so bad now.

If it's a Sloan Royal, stay with Sloan Royal. Same with any other make and model. I think your biggest concern is gpf, excuse me, I meant to say lpf. 6 years ago would indicate 3.8 lpf (1 gpf). Just to be sure, I'd check with the local rep for the specific valve on there now, they will (or should) know.
