  • Backflow Testing, Starting out on your own...

After roughing in for 25 years I am starting a Backflow Preventer Testing Business and getting out of the ditch. I have my license, gauges, insurance, website http://www.phoenixbackflow.com , cards and stickers, now just need to get on all of those city rosters. Any insight, pointers, recommendations for this venture would be appreciated, good and bad.

I wonder about the testing business. I pay my testing contractor $80 a backflow inspection, doesn't seem like very much after you add up all the costs of getting there and back.

Good luck in your venture. The need for testers will only increase.
