  • Metal drains

Does everyone outside of oklahoma use metal drain traps? I love plastic thin wall. I've seen a lot of pictures of all the metal. Just curious.

      What's the application?
Residential kitchens here use PVC slip joint almost exclusively.
Same w/ lavs unless exposed or commercial like a wall hung or pedestal.
In service I always replace metal w/ PVC when possible.

Same here, Big Jim. The tubular PVC traps seem to seal up better and are impervious to corrosion, making them better over the long haul.

Many commercial applications will require tubular brass, it will be in the job specs. Often this is for fire and smoke spread prevention. If plastic is allowed it generally has to be system 15 pvc.
