    We found this one a few weeks back early 1900 I believe

      We were cleaning the sewer at the house when I took the pics.
      I heard the cable by the old toilet it was still tied to the sewer, not sure about the water.
      it looked like when you sat on the seat it filled the tank

          I think you're right.

          Sit on the seat and the valve opens to let water up into the tank.

          When you get off the seat the valve closes off the water supply and lets water gravity
          feed from the tank into the bowl.
