  • How can I figure out date of manufacture based on serial number

I am trying to figure when a Ridgid 1822 threader was built Serial Number EA-02405.

    It wasn't made in 1822 ??

Sorry, couldn't resist. Your best bet would be a call to tech support, unless one of the few members of our group who repairs tools for a living knows and chimes in with some info for you.

Sorry I can't be of more help. I know they have been around for a few years, I remember this model being around in the late 1990s, so they probably go back farther than that.

But I still think a free call to Ridgid Tech Support will be your best bet.

I'm not sure if yours is the same but the EA is the factory which is probably in Europe somewhere. it could be made in 2002. on the 40th week. Maybe the 5th day. So the people in the service centers can just look at your serial number for warranty purposes
