    Re: Panasonic Li-ion Impact Driver

The set arrived today. I didn't have any time to play with them as I have a bunch of other projects to deal with.

The impact didn't feel as light as I hoped so I threw it on the scale. It measured 3 lbs, 4 ounces...just a titch over the advertised weight of 3.1 lbs. That is just 4 ounces lighter than my Ryobi 18 volt impact, but the Panasonic felt better balanced. The drill was 3 lbs, 9 ounces...which isn't what I'd call ultralight...especially for a 14.4 volt tool. Part of this weight is a tradeoff for to have 3aH batteries.

I really like the tool light. It actually had enough light to opposed to some tool lights I've seen that seem to be more for show.

The charger is very nice. It charges 3 different voltages of Lithium Ion plus NiCd and NiMh too.

Also liked the hard tool case.

One dissapointment was the neither the drill/driver nor the impact driver came had any onboard tool storage. Neither came with any extras like driver bits.
