  • 6 Gallon Wet/Dry Vac

This might be a dumb question but I recently purchased a ridgid 6 gallon wet/dry vac and it has the normal intake on the vacum side but on the other side it has a blower. I know the blower side is also used for various clean up. Everytime I use the vac the blower is blowing air out which means it is blowing out dust and debris when I am vacuming. Am i doing something wrong or is it supposed to do that? Can I cap it somehow?

The air must come out. You can buy a diffuser but that's if you want one. If you see dust blasting out the exhaust, you need to replace your filter cartridge and if you're sucking up fine dust like plaster you'll want a top grade filter. The CleanStream HEPA filters are much better than the standard ones.
