  • Anyone else notice the similarities?

I ran across the Milwaukee 7155-21 1/4" crown stapler and their 7150 18ga brad nailer...

Anyone else notice how similar the Ridgid versions look????
Aside from one being red and the other being orange?

Now I have the Ridgid units and I'm very pleased with them.

I just wonder if reverse engineering played a role here that's all.

I may be wrong, but I believe that the Ridgid series was on the market before TTI, who produces these tools under license with Ridgid, purchased Milwaukee.

If so, then it would be a natural progression that TTI produced the Milwaukee units using little or no modifications of the sucessful Ridgid-branded design.

    Just an assumption of course,

I haven't seen those nailers but it wouldn't surprise me as they are both owned by the same company. Its the same thing with Dewalt and Porter Cable where some of their tools are basically the same.

Did you notice too that the Milwaukee V18 drill also looks very similar to some of the Ridgid models?
