      they are also very handy for lag bolts like for decks and such

        Yeah, but you have to be careful with wood lag bolts. They aren't nearly as strong a steel as automotive fasteners and you will shear them off in a heartbeat.

            Congratulations on your Mercuric reaction time. :-) My point was you are more likely to strip a wood fastener with a 4000 in-lb wrench than you are with a 1200 in-lb driver. Most typical wood fasteners have 1/2 to 1/3 the strength of a typical metal fastener.

              These impact wrenches doing 325 ft-lbs torque could easily twist the head off a lag bolt if the bolt got jammed.
