    Good point ... I have used the TS occasionally and noted the surface is starting to get all rough up ... was thinking of giving it a coat of wax ...

    You got me thinking now ...

No protection is really needed other than cleaning it ocassionally. The grainy finish on the top helps wood slide very easily so wax is not necessary. It would also be very difficult to apply wax since its not a smooth slick surface.
