  • Ridgid Radio

I saw a post a few weeks ago saying this might start to come out in March. Does anyone have any new info on it? Will it charge NiCads and LIon's?

No, the radio will not act as a charger. Do a search for the Ridgid Radio threads already in progress, for any further info on this.

it only runs on 12 or 24 v batteries?

Rock the job site with Ridgid’s new iPod-ready radio, which also charges your cell phone and lets you stack tool cases atop its tough frame. The radio runs on either 12- or 24-volt batteries, or plug it into a 120-volt outlet—now, why can’t you do that with cordless tools? Check with manufacturer for pricing; Ridgid

that is the print from the supplied link-

        is that a type-o?

Why would the radio come with AAA batteries?

My guess would be to power the clock and station preset memory when there are no batteries or A/C hooked to it.

Oooooh. Is there a new tool catalogue out? Is it available online yet - where can I get it? I'm gnawing at the bit here for this spring's new releases!

We snagged one copy of the new 2008 catalog from our One World Tool Rep. I tried to get a couple more but they're in short supply right now.

                    Re: Ridgid Radio

If the Ridgid Radio will charge my cell phone battery, I guess if my cell phone used a 18volt 3.0AH lithium everything would work out just fine? Now what are the chances of Ridgid making a cell phone that runs on such a battery?
