  • Table Insert For Ts2400 Saw

I Wonder If Anyone Else Has Encountered A Problem Alining The Table Insert On This Saw. I Have Never Been Able To Get It Flat To The Table Surface. When I Began To Use A Caliper, I Found That The Surface Of The Cradle On Which The Left Side Of The Insert Rests Has Only Been Partially Machined Flat And It Is Effectively 1/8 Inch Higher Than The Other Contact Surfaces. Ridgid Has Sent Me A New Insert But That Doesn't Solve The Problem. Looks Like I May Never Achieve Flatness. Any Suggestions?

Doesn't the throat plate come with 4 leveling screws? If not, you might want to look into buying one of these ,model 949, or something similar.

Also be sure not to over-tighten the screw that holds the insert. It will make the insert hump up in the middle if over-tightened. I found this out from personal experience.
