  • New (to me) TS3650 -- Wax the fence rails?

Hi, I just got a TS3650 from craigslist and I think I got a good deal despite the huge sales going on at HD right now. The table top was a little bit rusty, but not pitted, and I got most of that cleaned up last night over the course of an hour. I was really impressed with barkeep's friend for rust removal.

At any rate, I'm cleaning and tuning up the saw, and I was wondering if I should put some johnson's paste wax on the fence runners, or if that would make them so slick that the fence no longer could grip properly.

    Thanks

    Tom

I wax mine and have never had any problems with the fence not griping.

awork we use a spray called topcoat, it does leave a build up over time. spray and forget, till you feel the need for it again
