    I have two Stihl chain saw, and have not had any problems with them.
    the other brand is a husky I would suggest,

    and for chains and bars, I like this place, http://www.baileysonline.com/
    I think there chains out last most off the shelf chains three or 4 times

      Ditto for the Stihl recommendation. I've owned one for a couple years now and am extremely satisfied. I also know several other Stihl chainsaw owners and not one is unhappy. I would also recommend the EZ Start feature, which I do not have. Sometimes, it's a little difficult to start mine if I haven't used it in several months.
