What brand of staples are you using? Sometimes, this type of problem can be traced to cheap staples such as the ones sold at Harbor Freight and similar stores.

following the cheap staples..you may want to clean the chamber. Remove from the air hose [obviously] and use compressed are to blow out the area. You may not see any debris but do it anyway!

Then take a soft lint free rag or shop towel and wipe it down.

Also inspect your staples to ensure they are clean and not sticky or have any debris..wipe them down too. Finally don't fill the chamber to maximum try a shorter lengths of staples at a time.

Remember this tool does not get oiled!!!!

Staples can get squeezed due to mishandling ,making them bind in the chamber too. You can spray dylube teflon on the moving parts and the mount to help with the function/sliding in the magazine and not collect dirt and dust like oil lube does.
