  • Thank You Ridgid

Unlike the Pros I'm a retired guy and don't use my tools very often. The last couple days have been different and in a good way. A lot of trees fell in my area due to a bad storm last week. I helped a neighbor cut up a big tree in his yard and asked a couple tree service guys if I could have the wood they were removing from downed trees. Well, I ended up with an awful lot of wood that needed to be racked so off to Home Depot and back with treated 2x4's. I used my Ridgid 18volt impact to drive 3" hex head screws into holes that I predrilled with my Ryobi 18volt lithium drill. I made three nice wood racks and got almost all the wood off my lawn. I know there's hardware available to make instant racks using 2x4's but I was in a hurry and my Home Depot did not have them. Every time I put together one of these simple projects I am so thankful to have such strong and dependable tools. I cannot imagine doing this work by hand. Bottom line, if you have occassion to do projects such as this get a good set of cordless tools and for my money Ridgid is well worth the investment.

Rick you would win that bet with ease! I sat on my butt and drilled one hole caught my breath and then drove in a hex head screw. I work at the same pace I walk on a treadmill, like I tell the people on the treadmills next to me "If you're going more than two or three miles an hour you're just look'in to break the machine".
