  • 18V Li Battery on X2 18V

I've had a 18V X2 (R84015) for a number of years. I was recently given a 18V Li (R86006) as a gift. Too my surprise, the batteries have the same slide and adapter configurations. Is it safe to use the 18V Li batteries on the older X2 which came with Ni-Cd batteries? It would save me from havng to replace 1 Ni-Cd battery that is currently dead....and 1 that is growing weaker by the cycle.

    Thanks!

Put away the old charger, properly dispose of the old Ni-cad batteries unless you have LSA. The Li batteries reduce the weight of the old tool and provides instant rejuvenated power for the older Ridgid 18V.
