  • BS 14002 tires

I have less than 1.5 hours on my band saw and was changing the blade from 3/8 to 1/8 and I noticed that the upper tire was slightly out of the metal wheel track. I put it back in, put the 1/8 blade on, made the adjustments (alignment, tension), turned it on and the tire comes out of the track (I shut it down before it gets all of the way out). Sometimes it comes out of the wheel track closer to me and sometimes the wheel track further away. I work on it most of the morning and never could get it to stay in the track. I put the 3/8 blade back on and still have the same problem.

Any advice. Get new tires? If so what type (if upgrading) and where?

    Thank you.

Had the same problem with mine. Never could get the rubber tires to stay put. Fixed it by replacing the rubber tires with urethane ones. Think I ordered mine from Rockler.

Thanks. Just ordered mine from Rockler. I read the reviews and several Ridgid BS owners purchased them and gave them high marks. Seems to be a common problem with the Ridgid BS.
