i just recently purchased a new 18V X3 cordless drill. Im having problems getting the bateries back off after use. Does anyone else have this problem? or do i have a defective drill? Thanks for your comments

I have to whack mine pretty good to get the battery to come off. I literally have to take the drill in hand and smack the battery against something solid to get it to pop off. My last X2 drill was the same way. Pretty annoying really, but if that is my only fault with the drill, I'll live with it.

I have same issue with X3 hammer drill though not as tight. I can live with it.

When I first bought the X2 and the X3 they didn't have this problem but after some use they do now. I found if I clean the slides on the battery and the drill it helps a lot.

I have the same problem - I have to wack the battery against somthing to get it to release. I just know, one day it will break and not be under warranty because I "abused" it.
The one thing I can make without fail, everytime, is a mess.
