I have a Ridgid Model 19500 wet/dry vac that an employee connected to 240vac... motor shot. Problem, can't buy a replacement motor or powerhead. Advised to buy a new vac unit. Is this nuts? Talk about "resource conservation" . Any thoughts? ...bob

I have to ask. How do you plug a 110v plug into a 220 outlet?

The 16Gal WD1950. Yes...it is a shame isn't it. Motor is pretty much the braun of the unit though, cheaper labour to make in China, higher cost to replace here...blah blah blah so it almost can be justified not to stock parts if Ridgid knows the cost is going to be more than a new unit.

+3. Kinda hard to do, but I see it's been done.
